Cozumel's west side has golden strands and calm, clear water. Popular beaches here include Playa San Francisco and Playa San Juan. The windward side of the island is rockier, but dotted with good beaches like Punta Morena, Punta Chiqueros and Chen RÃo. These tend to be less crowded but beware of strong waves and undertows.
