STAY: At the Reefs every room has an ocean view, and three restaurants and two bars keep guests satiated.

FRIDAY: Enjoy the view from your hotel balcony, which overlooks the inviting turquoise expanse. But don’t dawdle; there’s a Dark ’n’ Stormy waiting for you at Coconuts.

SATURDAY: In the morning, stroll into Hamilton, where Front Street stores sell Belgian chocolates and Irish linens. Shop, and then recover over elegant afternoon tea at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Waterlot Inn is a prime spot for sunset cocktails and late-night live music in atmospheric environs embellished with maritime paintings and vintage maps.

SUNDAY: Sleep in on Sunday — but not too late. It’d be a shame to leave without at least a few grains of that famously rose-hued sand clinging to your toes. —Debbie Snow
