Reader's Choice: Cocktail of the Year!

The Painkiller! Created on a small beach in Jost Van Dyke in the BVI in the 70s, this classic has been tantalizing tastebuds ever since. If you want a visual on how to make the perfect Painkiller, check out this video. Here's the recipe...and have a great weekend!

SERVES 1

4 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice

1 oz. orange juice

1 oz. Coco Lopez coconut cream

2 1/2 oz. Pusser's rum or dark Jamaican rum

Powdered cinnamon

Ground nutmeg

 

1. Shake juices, Coco Lopez and rum with plenty of crushed ice. Pour unstrained into a tall glass. 2. Dust with cinnamon and nutmeg. Garnish with a pineapple wedge, cinnamon stick and orange wheel.
