Editor's Pick: Original Art Adorns this Romantic Resort in St. Lucia

On the shoot for our TV show Affordable Caribbean in St. Lucia (premiering Nov 13 on the Discovery Channel, Discovery HD, SunSports and on CaribVision in 21 Caribbean islands) we had the pleasure of staying at Anse Chastanet, a romantic resort on the island’s southwest coast.

Surrounded by spectacular views of the jungle-blanketed hillside, caramel-sand cove and majestic Pitons, you couldn’t be blamed for wanting to spend every waking moment of your Anse Chastanet stay outdoors. But the original art in the resort’s suites is also a feast for the eyes.

The resort’s owners commissioned artists from all over the world to visit and create original art for each of the 49 rooms, inspired by the beauty of the lush island, its colorful culture and welcoming people. We’ve always believed that art makes a house feel like a home. Turns out it can do the same for a hotel room, too. – Sarah
