Resort Watch: Stay at Ultra Luxe Ritz in Puerto Rico

One of the most luxurious resorts in the entire Caribbean is about to open, and you can get there with one of the cheapest direct flights in the Caribbean. That's why we're so excited with the news that the Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is now accepting reservations for its grand opening this December in time for the holidays. Just west of San Juan, Puerto Rico, this ultra luxury resort looks absolutely spectacular, with all the amenities and accommodations at the highest level possible from Ritz-Carlton in its new "Reserve" line that for now only includes a resort in Thailand in addition to this Puerto Rico location.
The Dorado Beach resort is designed to pick up on the legacy of the Laurance Rockefeller RockResorts, which were designed to celebrate the island's natural beauty. The 11-mile Rockefeller nature trail is still a centerpiece here, plus the resort will offer Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment Program. And the unbelievable Spa Botanico is nestled among five acres, drawing on Puerto Rican traditions and ingredients in its treatment menu. And yes, there are two treehouse platforms for literally another level of spa relaxation.
