Tough Choices: Your Favorite Caribbean Destination
But the truth is, there’s a lot to love about every single Caribbean country I’ve ever visited. I’ll always have a soft spot for Jamaica, where I lived for half my life. When it comes to rich culture, beautiful landscape and vivacious people, there’s nowhere like it. I was charmed by Provo in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where a small-town vibe is combined with first-class hotels and restaurants. And the southeast coast of St. Lucia, with its lush rainforest, towering Pitons and laid-back pace, I find absolutely enchanting. Then there are the transparent waters of the Bahamas’ Exumas; the high-end all-inclusive resorts that line Mexico’s Riviera Maya; the sugary expanse of Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach…I could go on and on.
I suppose the better question would be which places in the Caribbean I don’t enjoy. Then my answer would be simple: Absolutely none.
Tell us: what’s your favorite Caribbean destination and why?

If I broadly interpret the word destination I would have to say the Tobago Cays in the Grenadines-- I had a heavenly day long excursion experience there (I flew over from St. Lucia)-probably among the prettiest places I have seen in the Caribbean. I have been to Los Roques (in Venezuela), another Caribbean marine park type destination and the Tobago Cays were much prettier-- having said that though I would say that both Morrocoy and Mochima (in Venezuela) come in very close behind the Tobago Cays. Hoping to one day return to the Grenadines for a full vacation.
If I narrowly intrerpret the word destination I would have to say Barbados-- for the food, the people, the beaches, nightlife, and accessibility.
