Get ready for the Top 5 reasons we absolutely love the Bahamas here at CT+L. As we prepare for the big season of Caribbean vacation travel, we're rolling out new CT+L Vacation Guides of the most popular destinations in the Caribbean. Of course, the Bahamas are on this list, and of course, we go there all the time. Yes, we love the Atlantis resort (as shown by our appropriately named new photo gallery "Why We Love the Atlantis Resort"). It's an epic escape that I actually might be visiting soon. But the Bahamas beyond the Atlantis are one of the greatest vacation destinations in the world. On our Top 5 reasons, No. 5 is ......

As Skyfall opens today, we're both elated (love Bond) and deflated (what, no Caribbean scenes?!) here at CT+L. James Bond has done more to promote the genuine coolness of the Caribbean more than any other star. That's why we created the James Bond Guide to the Caribbean. But if you're a Pirates of the Caribbean fan, you might be thinking Captain Jack Sparrow is the greatest movie star when it comes to promoting the Caribbean. The debate is raging here at CT+L offices on a Friday afternoon. It's up to you to decide on the CT+L Facebook page. It's really too close to ......

Everyone loves Aruba, but a lot of people (we won't name names) are in an Aruba rut. We've talked to so many Aruba lovers who have visited this beautiful island in the southern Caribbean maybe 10, 15, 20 times -- and do the same things every time. And that's fine, but we here at CT+L want to offer you more choices to make your next Aruba vacation even better. Our editors and photographers have either just returned from Aruba or are just heading there to add even more trip ideas to our new CT+L Ultimate Vacation Guide to Aruba. Usually when Hollywood celebs hop on a plane to the Caribbean, the mission is simple: spend so much time on the beach, they're shaking sand out of their carry-on. For twin sisters and actors Tia and Tamera Mowry of Sister Sister fame, their recent vacation to the Bahamas was less play and more work -- to dig up long-lost family roots....

What's more evocative of a day on the islands than the idle strumming of a guitar and a raspy Rastaman's voice singing beach songs about taking it easy? Well, Reggae stepped off the beach and into a bit more formal company at this year's Jamaica 50 celebrations in Kingston....

As Hurricane Sandy bears down on the U.S. East Coast, we're monitoring reports of the effect the storm had as it whipped through the Caribbean. A reported 10,000 flight cancellations have happened across North America since Saturday, according to Flightstats.com, which offers a real-time map of canceled flights. In Jamaica, Sandals Ocho Rios is reporting a delay in welcoming new guests in an article from Travel Weekly. And in a one-in-a-million chance, apparently the eye of Hurricane Sandy passed over Disney's Castaway Cay, the private island that the Disney Cruise Line visits on its ......
