In honor of the holiday weekend when you're supposed to relax, a lot of cruise lines are offering deals on Caribbean trips. Think $169 for a four-night Royal Caribbean cruise to Bermuda. A CT+L editor recently took a Bermuda cruise (see her cruise photos), so we're especially excited about that one. But Princess Cruises has $549 7-day cruises with an intriguing mix of Caribbean itineraries -- western, eastern or southern routes -- leaving in January from Florida and Texas. Or if those cruise deals still don't float your boat, see Travelocity's Labor Day cruise sale with ......
So, what’s the best cruise ship stateroom? Simple: The most expensive one. Don’t believe me? Check out our gallery of the 12 best cruise ship staterooms and see how the other half sails. Now, I’d happily stay in any of these, but the room that really has me intrigued is Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class AquaTheater Suite: two bedrooms, a living area, a balcony that’s almost as large as the room itself and prime seats for shows at the AquaTheater. Book me. Then again ... ...
Two thousand feet above St. Thomas, with panoramic views of Magens Bay, Jost Van Dyke, and Tortola in the BVI, experience the ride of your life with the island's newest adventure tour, Tree Limin' Extreme....
Ah, fall. The kids are back in school and the cruise ships are back in the Caribbean. Even though it’s still technically a low or shoulder season for cruising our favorite islands, the number of ships calling on Caribbean ports doubles from summer, plus you have 10 additional cruise lines to choose from, including several of the higher-end boutique lines. All in all, there are more than 600 cruises to choose from, on itineraries that range form the classic (Nassau-St. Maarten-St. Thomas) to the truly exotic (think Vieques, Virgin Gorda, Saba and Nevis)....
For every parent who's ever wanted to take their kids on a family vacation but check them into a separate hotel...there's a new all-inclusive on Mexico's Riviera Maya that knows how you feel. ...
People in these parts still talk about the 1968 World Surfing Championship. Local lore has it that the town of Rincon, perched at the tip of a largely unsettled peninsula on Puerto Rico’s west coast, wasn’t even listed on most island maps before those seven fateful days in November, when a merry influx of paisley-wearing, board-wielding teenagers from America and 15 other nations discovered the area’s fine weather, predictably perfect waves and peace-and-love vibe. A good many never left....
If you know anything about Bond, you know he's a man of very specific tastes. So when Conrad Hilton Hotels introduced the Conradtini cocktail service, we could see our favorite jet-setting, base-jumping secret agent sidling up to the bar at Puerto Rico's Conrad San Juan Condado Plaza, and taking a much-needed break from saving the world....
James Bond has saved the day in every conceivable location, but only once from the deck of a luxury liner — and that was waaay back in 1971’s Diamonds Are Forever. But we can see Daniel Craig lounging against the rail as the sun sets over a glorious Caribbean Sea (at least, we’d like to). ...
After 50 years of car chases, seduction, martini-shaking, and risk-taking (both in and out of the casino), we know what James Bond likes. So what if he were to put aside his Walter PPK long enough to take a vacation? Where would Bond stay? What would this resort have? We believe there are five key elements to the ultimate 007 hotel, and they are all prefectly packaged at this luxury resort in Anguilla....
If there’s one thing we can all agree on, it’s the need for more vacation time. And we don’t mean the vacation time where you run errands all day, we’re talking about full-blown chill days—your phone is off and your feet are up, with a cool cocktail in hand. If this sounds like utopia, take note, fellow chillers, we have a cause to rally around: the Tommy Bahama campaign to make National Relaxation Day, August 15, an official U.S. holiday....
