I'm the web editor for Caribbean Travel + Life - have computer, will travel! I look forward to curating CT+L's digital offerings to include more galleries, blogs, video, apps and other ways to virtually take you to the Caribbean's exquisite destinations with immersive digital experiences - and make sure you know all the things you need to do when you go.

Favorite Caribbean Destination: Curaçao, with its amazing Dutch architecture in Willemstaad, multicultural cuisine at Marsche Bieuw and immaculate beaches. But really, any place there's a beach, I'm good. Bonus points if I have sand between my toes, a drink in one hand and a curry kebab in the other.

Tropical Drink of Choice: A Dark 'n' Stormy - dark rum, ginger beer and lime. And they're best when you make 'em with Gosling's. Arguably, it's Bermuda's national drink, though it vies with the rum swizzle for that title.

Travel Tip: Get local - chat up the residents to learn about their favorite places. Give your taste buds an adventure and try out the local cuisine. And if you want to bring back a memoir of your trip, look for unique souvenirs, whether you're bringing back art from a gallery in St. Thomas for yourself or Tortuga rum cake for friends or family. Not only will you have a more authentic experience this way, but you'll have better stories to tell when you get home!

geejam blue martini
You won't hear Bob Marley on the stereo at Bushbar, the effortlessly-cool watering hole at the Geejam Hotel in San San, Port Antonio, Jamaica, and you won't find any rum in their signature cocktail, either - this luxe Jamaican resort with an A-list clientele happily breaks all the "rules".
tobago river hiking
