Bob Marley Drink

The Rasta-inspired Bob Marley drink can be made several ways, including either frozen or flaming! Here are two of our favorite recipes.

Pay tribute to this legendary reggae artist by drinking a Bob Marley.

The frozen Bob Marley drink - pictured above - is the signature cocktail at the Secrets Montego Bay resorts in Jamaica. They have shared their official recipe on their blog,  and it calls for light rum, blue curacao, orange curacao, strawberry daiquiri mix, fresh mango, sweet and sour mix, lime juice and ice.

The flaming variation on the Bob Marley drink is often consumed as a shot. To make this drink, you'll need a large shot glass and:

  • 1/3 ounce grenadine
  • 1/3 ounce rum, 151 proof
  • 1/3 ounce creme de menthe
Directions: Pour the grenadine on the bottom, the creme de menthe in the middle and the rum on top. If you're feeling daring enough to try it - light the rum, place a straw all the way in the bottom of the shotglass and drink fast! Stop once the flames are inside the straw.

To set the right mood, you can also cue a little music:
